The Beauty of God's Creation in the Snow

I know these pictures are almost two weeks late but I thought ya'll would enjoy them. We thought the last snow was big this was huge! In some places we got 15".

This is how high the snow was on our deck rail.

We all sunk as deep as Spencer when we stepped out the door.

The snow got really deep on the deck table!

When the snow started falling we put two bowls out on the deck table...eventually through out the day the poor bowls got buried. When I found them and dug them out that night we got to have snow cream. Yummy!
The snow was so beautiful when the sun made it glisten! I was reminded by the snow of the beauty of God's creation. It was so lovely. What beauty that God has created can you see around you right now? Please take a moment to leave a comment and share them with us...there are always plenty and we would love to hear about them!

Rebelution Conference

What an amazing conference! We went last year and it was so encouraging and inspiring! Unfortunately we can't go again this year due to the location and a very busy schedule. We were blessed last year when the conference was in Indianapolis and that is only a couple of hours from our house. Last September at the Indianapolis Conference I was surprised to see that some people had traveled from as far as Nebraska and Florida. Since then I have gotten to know a Rebelutionary who went to the Indianapolis conference and lives in Nebraska. She shared with me, "That conference was well worth the 17 hour drive." So if you live close or far try to take advantage of this movement and go to one of their regional conferences. You won't be sorry. Also go to their website and read some of the things they write about!

That Is Dying To Self

I originally found this post on Agent Tim online. It is so good that I had to copy it here! Please take time to carefully read over and reflect on this.

When you are forgotten or neglected or purposely set at naught, and you sting and hurt with the insult of the oversight, but your heart is happy, being counted worthy to suffer for Christ — that is dying to self.

When your good is evil spoken of, when your wishes are crossed, your advice disregarded, your opinions ridiculed, and you refuse to let anger rise in your heart, or even defend yourself, but take it all in patient loving silence — that is dying to self.

When you lovingly and patiently bear any disorder, any irregularity, or any annoyance, when you can stand face to face with waste, folly, extravagance, spiritual insensibility, and endure it as Jesus endured it — that is dying to self.

When you are content with any food, any offering, any raiment, any climate, any society, any attitude, any interruption by the will of God — that is dying to self. When you never care to refuse yourself in conversation, or record your own good works, or itch after any commendation, when you can truly love to be unknown — that is dying to self.

When you can see your brother prosper and have his needs met and can honestly rejoice with him in spirit and feel no envy nor question God, while your own needs are far greater and in desperate circumstances — that is dying to self.

When you can receive correction and reproof from one of less stature than yourself, can humbly submit inwardly as well as outwardly, finding no rebellion or resentment rising up within your heart — that is dying to self.” — Author Unknown (Taken from Different By Design by John MacArthur).

Oh, that each of us could be one who dies to themselves
— oh, that I could be one that is dying to self!
